For the second year in a row we want to promote entrepreneurship in the health sector among the students of UGent. Therefore, in collaboration with BeMSA Gent and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, we will organise 'Innovation Station' on 16th of November. This is an innovation camp where we allow students from different faculties to brainstorm together about the challenges health workers face today. We invite students from economic, scientific, medical and policy fields to come up with innovative and creative solutions to today's problems.
During the day, the students will be coached in group by professionals in the field (Blue Health Innovation Center, Durf Ondernemen UGent and several student-entrepreneurs who have started). In the evening they present their (theoretically) elaborated challenge to a jury of experts (professors, funds, coaches of Durf Ondernemen Ugent) and a winner is announced. The team with the best project will be given the opportunity to develop this through a coaching trajectory offered by Blue Health Innovation Center. They also get the chance to visit the Qbic fund again to discuss possibilities for funds. All other teams will have the opportunity to independently develop their project with Durf ondernemen Ugent.

- HOW CAN INTERDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION BETWEEN PHYSICIANS AND PARAMEDICS BE OPTIMISED BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE HOSPITAL?
- HOW CAN WE REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF WASTE IN HEALTHCARE?

Inleiding verloop dag &
toelichting challenges Tijdens de kick-off lichten we de planning van de dag toe en leggen we ook uit wat er van jullie verwacht wordt, wie je kan inroepen voor hulp, welke materialen je kan gebruiken… Gedurende de dag werken we met een aantal uitdagingen. Deze worden kort toegelicht. Hierna worden jullie in teams ingedeeld en begin je aan je eerste missie. |

Debrief Niet te veel van wakker liggen. Je krijgt al een eerste opdracht om als team tot een goed einde te brengen. |

Opdracht 1: Het idee Tijdens dit eerste deel ga je op zoek naar zoveel mogelijk ideeën voor de challenge. Geen idee is zot genoeg. Daarna begin je een aantal ideeën concreet vorm te geven en op het einde pik je er één uit om een plan voor uit te werken. |

Opdracht 2: Het plan Nu je het basisidee hebt, werken we dit uit aan de hand van het Business Model Canvas. We denken na over alle stukjes van de puzzel die nodig zijn om je plan vorm te geven. En je zal ook merken waar er mogelijks gaten in je plan zitten. |

Opdracht 3: De pitch Hoe ga je het plan overbrengen naar de jury toe. Je weet dat je 5 minuten krijgt om duidelijk te maken wat je idee is en hoe je het wilt uitwerken. Maak je klaar om de jury omver te blazen met je creativiteit. |

Start Jury Pitching Het moment van de waarheid: pitchen voor de jury. Elk team krijgt exact 5 minuten om zijn presentatie naar voor te brengen. Daarna krijgt de jury nog 5 minuten om vragen te stellen. Be quick, be bright, be gone. |

Jury overleg & Bekendmaking
Winnaar Spanning alom, wie zal het halen? Terwijl de jury overlegt, kan je reeds beginnen met nagelbijten, tot het moment daar is. Wie heeft het beste idee, de beste pitch, het nieuwe ei van Columbus? |
