At the end of 2021, it was estimated that some 38.4 million people were living with HIV, 2/3rds of them in the WHO African region. 650,000 people died of AIDS-related diseases.
World AIDS Day takes place every year on 1 December. It is an opportunity to unite people worldwide in the fight against HIV, show support for people living with HIV and commemorate those who died of AIDS-related diseases. On this day, SCORA is also trying to raise the profile of HIV and AIDS a bit more among students.
More information on the project will follow later.
